TELEVIZOR ILI SVEĆA - PITANJE JE SAD?
TV OR A CANDLE - THAT IS THE QUESTION

Am I going to be able to watch the football game tonight? That was my first thought when at 14.30 the electricity went out.

It happens more frequently lately. We have begun to get used to making today's lunch the day before yesterday or to cancelling the evening game of cards. A ride in a lift is a true hazard. All of it is becoming a part of our every day life, which, judging by the mood, bothers most the young generation.

I would so like to be able to calmly sit again in front of my computer and start studying for the exams without fear that a power cut will interrupt me. I stopped counting the times I wished in the past 70 days I could take my girlfriend to the theatre or the cinema so that we could see the whole show. However, it's that power cut again.

One good thing about this is that it has brought us closer together. We sit in the shelters, waiting impatiently for the sirens to sound the end of the air attacks. We await that moment talking and dreaming that the next day we won't meet here, in the shelter, that the air raids will stop tomorrow, that we will have as much electricity as we need... I know it will happen but I do not know when our fancy will become reality?

Should I prepare TV or a candle for tonight?
