DRAGIŠA BRAŠOVAN (1887-1965), dopisni član SANU, član britanskog Kraljevskog instituta za arhitekturu, jedan od najpoznatijih srpskih arhitekata ovog veka, vrli poznavalac baroka, uveo je stil moderne na Balkan. Dva izuzetna zdanja ovog arhitekte, stradala su od NATO bombi ovih dana.
Zgrada Vrhovne komande vazduhoplovstva Jugoslavije u strogom centru Zemuna, sa skulpturom Ikara na glavnoj fasadi, rad novosadskog skulptora Karla Baranjija, potpuno je uništena.
Zgrada Izvršnog veća Vojvodine (Banovina), sagrađena 1939, najpoznatije delo Dragiše Brašovana, delo koje se nalazi u svim svetkim enciklopedijama arhitekture, pod zaštitom UNESCO kao umetničko nasleđe, bombardovana je u noći 19. Aprila.

DRAGISA BRASOVAN (1887-1965) was a pen pal member of Serbian Academy of Science and Arts, a member of British Royal Institute of Architecture, one of the most famous Serbian architects of the century, distinguished connoisseur of the age of baroque, introduced the Modern style to Balkans. Two extraordinary edifices signed by this architect were the victims of NATO bombings these days.
Building used by Yugoslavian Airforces Headquarter in the very center of Zemun , together with the sculpture of Icarus on the front (a masterpiece of Novi Sad's sculptor Karlo Baranji) was totally destroyed.
Building of Executive Council of Vojvodina Province (Banovina), completed on 1939, the most famous work of Dragisa Brasovan, listed in all world architectural cyclopedias, under the protection of UNESCO as an valuable art heritage, was bombed in the night of April 19, 1999.
