Deset godina rada je sada pod vodom

Predsednik Društva građevinskih konstruktora Vojvodine dipl. ing Ivan Mamužić, koji je ujedno i predsednik Društva inženjera i tehničara Novog Sada, bio je glavni inženjer nadzora pri izgradnji novosadskog Mosta Slobode, čiji je projektant akademik prof. dr Nikola Hajdin.

Most za koji se pravom kaže da je najlepši na Dunavu, gradio se gotovo deset godina. Elaborat o ispitivanju korita Dunava završen je 1972. godine, 1976. je zvanično počela gradnja probijanjem prvog šipa na levoj obali, a 23. oktobra 1981. godine most je pušten u saobraćaj. Danas ga više nema - kaže ing Mamužić.

Otvaranje - Opening

Most je bio dug 1.312 metara sa 23 stuba nosača, od kojih su samo tri u vodi, sa šest saobraćajnih traka širine 27,68 metara i dve pešačke staze.U most je ugrađeno 27.000 kubnih metara betona, glavna čelična konstrukcija duga je 591 metar, a teška 7.600 tona. Izvođač radova bila je beogradska »Mostogradnja« sa kooperantima, čeličnu konstrukciju isporučio je Gane-Mavag iz Budimpešte, čeličnu užad Stahlton Ag iz Ciriha, a uvezena su i dva velika specijalna ležišta nosivosti 10.000 tona.

Magistar Zoran Obradović iz Zavoda za izgradnju grada Novog Sada, koji je učestvovao u projektovanju i građenju ovog mosta, kaže da su primenjeni strogi propisi (nemački DIN), tako da je most bio prohodan za vozilo težine 60 tona, što je retko u mirnodopskim uslovima.

Sa rasponom od 351 metar, most je držao svetski rekord u kategoriji mostova koji su sa kosim zategama u srednjoj ravni poprečnog preseka - kađe mr Obradović - Most je granatiran u korenu pilona, onaj sa novosadske strane je prelomljen, dok sa kameničke strane raketa nije imala tako fatalno dejstvo. Most je izgubio nosivost svih užadi sa novosadske strane, glavni nosač je pretrpeo velike deformacije i polegao je u Dunav. Međutim, glavnina materijala će se moći ponovo iskoristiti, ali je najveći problem njihovo vađenje iz vode, za šta je neophodno uraditi posebnu studiju.

Delovi teški 200 tona

Inženjer Ivan Mamužić kaže da su delovi mosta teški 200 tona, koji su se za vreme gradnje slagali specijalnim postupkom. Mnogo teži posao je njihovo vađenje iz vode, jer su dizalice nosivosti 100 tona. - Ako se žele ovi delovi ponovo upotrebiti za izgradnju, moraju se pažljivo rezati u vodi, što je veoma složen poduhvat zbog matice reke. To je posao za ronioce i mnoge druge, što može da traje mesecima. Sigurno je da treba uraditi poseban projekat vađenja upotrebljivih delova mosta - kaže ing Mamužić.

Vrednost samo čelične konstrukcije mosta procenjuje se na oko 50 miliona dolara, a celog mosta između 100 i 150 miliona dolara.

Ten years of work are now under the water

The President of the Society of the civil engineering constructors of Vojvodina, engineer Ivan Mamuzic, who is also the President of The Society of engineers and technicans of Novi Sad, was the main supervising engineer during the building of the Bridge of Freedom in Novi Sad, designed by theAcademy member, professor dr Nikola Hajdin.

The bridge, which was rightfully thought of as the most beautiful on the Danube, took nearly ten years to be completed. The scientific study of the river bed of the Danube was completed in 1972.; in 1976. construction works were oficially started placing the first foundation pillar on the left river bank. On October 23rd 1981. the bridge was finally put into function. Today, there is no bridge any more, says engineer Mamuzic.

The bridge was 1,312 metres long, supported by 23 pillars, only three of which are in the water. It had six lanes 27.68 metres wide as well as and two sidewalks. 27,000 cubic metres of concrete were built into the bridge; the main steel structure was 591metres long and weighed 7,600 tons. Main contractor was "Mostogradnja" from Belgrade with it's subcontructors; the steel structure has been delivered by "Gane-Mavag" from Budapest, Hungary; steel ropes have been supplied through "Stahlton" A.G. from Zurich, Switzerland; two special large bearings of carrying capacity 10,000 tons were also imported.

Member of the Institute for civil engeneering planning in the municipality of Novi Sad, Mr. Zoran Obradovic, who took part in project planning and construction works of the bridge, says that construction works were in compliance with strict regulations (German DIN regulations), therefore the bridge provided even 60 tons heavy vehicle to pass, which is rarely possible in peace.

351 metre bridge span was the world record in the category of bridges with sloping tights in the middle, says Mr. Obradovic. The bridge was hit by the missile in the root point of supporting pillar, the pillar situated on Novi Sad river bank fractured. On the other bank, the missile effect was not such fatal. The bridge lost carrying capacity of all ropes on the side facing Novi Sad; main support has suffered severe damages and it is now bent in Danube. Nevertheless, it will be possible to further use the majority of construction material, but the greatest problem is the process of drawing the material out of water. The preparation of special elaborate for such action will be necessary.

Bridge elements were 200 tons heavy

Engeneer Ivan Mamuzic says that bridge elements are 200 t heavy and have been previously composed applying special procedure. It will be more difficult to draw them out of water, as cranes' carrying capabilities do not exceed 100 tons. In case these elements are ment to be rebuilt, they must be carefully cut under water, which is very complicated procedure because of the influence of the river current. The engagement of divers and meny other professionals will be necessary, and the procedure may take months. There is no doubt that special project for drawing useful bridge elements out of water should be made, says engeneer Mamuzic.

The value of the bridge steel structure is being estimated to 50 million dollars US, and the value of the whole bridge is being estimated between 100 and 150 million dollars US.
